Who am I

Forest Scene

What Makes Me Tick!!!

I like many others has had the desire to relax and not stress over the small stuff. The small stuff I refer to as “Life”. After all, you can’t change what happens in your life. You need to find ways to deal with the “Ups” and “Downs” that happen to you. The way I found to manage was to get out in nature and take in Beauty that GOD has given us. I also found other ways to deal with stress and that has been through woodworking. In picking up a saw and hammer almost 35 years ago I have been able to lose myself in working with wood thus being able to relax.

I have always shared my hobby with my family and friends. Back then I was just satisfied when my projects came together and looked good. Now I eat, drink, sleep, and YES, at times, even dream of wood. When I walk through malls and shows I find myself looking at the finishes and how something is put together and saying to myself or even out-loud, “I can so make that out of wood”. I put my heart and soul into everything I design and build whether it is turning a new pen or building a table, if it doesn’t pass mine or my families inspection it doesn’t leave my shop and I will work on it until I get it right.

The most important things in my life are my family and friends. Without them I wouldn’t be who I am today. My inspiration comes from them because they help me see what can be and not what was.

This site (Wooden Eye Workshop) is a way to share with everyone who I am and what I love to do.
